For the time being, this blog is a Montreal homage to
"This blog is dedicated to thinking about food. Not just thinking about how to prepare it, or how it tastes — although those things are very important to us — but to pondering where and how it was grown and by whom, the distance that it traveled to our plate, and the less obvious effects of our consuming it."
I will eventually (read as: hopefully) convert this blog into a website that will list and discuss sources of REAL FOOD in Montreal. I will find eggs, cheese, meat, fruits, vegetables, and all other manner of food - all produced as close to Montreal as possible, and all produced in the best possible manner.
I will start on a strictly local basis, and whatever I cannot get locally I will get regionally, and whatever I cannot get regionally I will get nationally.
I welcome contributions,
thanks,
Peter Horowitz

Congratulations on your new food blog, Peter! (Although your old one is great--finally, someone else as slavishly devoted to Hollandaise as I!) I'm Gina, a blogger pal of Randi's at Culinary Adventures.
And you and I are practically neighbors, too! I live about six miles from the Hemmingford, QC border (north of Plattsburgh, NY). In fact, I was just in your fair city last night to take in a film at the Forum and have dinner afterwards at Schwartz's. (waving northward)
Just wanted to say hi! :-) --Gina

P.S. I posted Epicure's chopped liver recipe on Randi's site if you're interested.
